1.    Born on 13th April 1992, like many other kids he also played street cricket. His hero was WasimAkram.

2.    He was spotted at the age of 13 in a tournament. Amir was selected by the sports academy by Bajwa in Rawalpindi where he continued working on his skills.

3.    Call it fate or not, but his icon, his hero WasimAkram was so impressed by his U-19 performance of 8 wickets (with an average of 16.37) that he selected him for further matches. And he was only 15 while participating in that U-19 match in England.

4.    In domestic cricket, he played for Rawalpindi Rams and the National Bank of Pakistan both. Mohd. Amir’s debut in domestic cricket season was a super successful one as he got 55 wickets for NBP.

5.     Mohd. Amir debuted internationally against England in the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 Championship. His match was against England where he took one wicket and scored one run.

6.     In the same tournament, Mohd. Amir took a wicket in his opening spell in 6 out of 7 games he played there. Isn’t that amazing?

7.   During the initial stages of the 2010 World T20 tournament, Mohd. Amir took 3 wickets in a five wicket-maiden over in a match against Australia. This is one of the most amazing cricket records - of three wickets for a bowler in Twenty20 and 5 wickets for a team in one over.

8.    Did you know that Mohd. Amir is the youngest player to take 50 test wickets and also the youngest bowler to take a 5-wicket test haul in England? That was 2010 and the opponent was England. Mohd. Amir took 19 wickets which is the highest among the Pakistani cricketers.
