Taking this path, Archit Kumar directs this Eros Now-produced web series titled Thoda Adjust Please. From the title, you can sniff an easy-breezy set-up with a tinge of real-life instances - isn’t it? Well, TAP is currently streaming on Mzaalo and it is a comedy web series about 4 youngsters who share an apartment and struggle with love, career, and life. It stars Gandharv Dewan as Radhe, Rohan Khurana as Jai, Malhaar Rathod as Isha, and Aanchal Sharma as Gauri.

In episode 1, you will get an introduction to these 4 characters and their dreams. Jai and Isha are a live-in couple. Jai dreams of becoming the next Ranveer Singh while Isha campaigns for her NGO who wants to give shelter to stray animals. Isha wants money from Jai so that she can buy a brand new dress to meet a rich businessman for donation to her NGO. Jai is unable to pay rent so how will he offer money to Isha? So, what is the solution to their problems? Of course, Thoda Adjust Please!

Jai and Isha rent a part of their apartment to fetch some money. This is how Radhe and Gauri enter their lives. Gauri and Radhe are neighbors who are from Banaras. Gauri is well-educated and wants to get a good job which is why she jumps off to Mumbai. But how can her family leave a girl alone in this big city? So, they send Radhe, a well-behaved boy from the neighborhood with her, to Mumbai. How will she live with Radhe, sharing a bed (actually divan)? The answer is Thoda Adjust Please.

In episode 2, you will come across the rural-urban divide. For example, Gauri throws the almond milk carton thinking it has gone bad. Radhe uses Isha’s razor to shave his beard. Gauri also admires the way Isha gets dressed and wears her makeup. There is a dream in her eyes to be “someone” out in the world. A girl vs boy debate pops up in this episode because Isha notices Gauri sleeping on the floor while Radhe sleeps on the divan. This war continues the next day too. And here everyone is doing “thoda adjust please”.

In episode 3, Gauri returns from an interview where she was a target of lecherous comments. She gets upset and Isha takes her shopping. This is when a photographer cum friend of Jai arrives to shoot him in some crazy costumes. He then demands a hefty amount and there is also no surety of landing a great role in films with these shoots. Jai gives only INR 500 to him. Jai is also “adjusting” here in anticipation of a great Bollywood movie.

All the episodes of TAP are hardly 15 minutes long. They provide you some “seen before” setup like “girl vs boy” banter or “rural vs urban” lifestyle shifts. We have also seen some youngsters sharing an apartment dealing with the baggage of life before. So, what is new in this new web series online? The crisp story-telling within that short time frame. The director just gets to the point and that is what works in this “quickie” type of web series.
